ABOUT THE EVENT #EUTIME
The competition took place between 04.08.2023-05.08.2023, organised by the OZ OÁZA Komoca Civic Association in Kamoca, Slovakia, in the framework of the Taste of Regions event, entitled Togetherness in all times.
The competition involved 5 partnerships from 4 countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. The partners have been working together for years, supporting each other's events. They try to define a line of quality and value for each joint event. The 2023 joint event in Komoča was such a meeting point of quality, with innovative elements. The competition appealed to all generations, and the partners sought to offer programmes for all ages and social strata.
Debates, workshops, round tables, discussion forums, panel discussions were held to discuss the consequences of the externalities of recent years, such as the significance of the COVID epidemic. The impact of COVID 19 was examined and discussed in several areas. The discussions were held in Hungarian, with Slovak interpretation provided where necessary.
During the two-day event, the following programme was encouraged:
In addition to the 19 main COVID themes, Europe Direct held discussions on the future of Europe, which attracted interest not only from young people but from almost all age groups.
In addition to the main themes on the EU's priorities, there were gastronomic competitions, regional tasting, gastronomic workshops, music and cultural activities, as well as recycling in the context of sustainable development.
